Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup active starter
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Combine starter, flour, cocoa, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, vanilla, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined.
  2. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  3. Pour into a buttered loaf pan.
  4. Bake at 350F (175C) for 50-60 minutes.
