Almost everyone already has the ingredients for this one growing in the yard right now.
Ingredients
- 2 cups loosely packed fresh dandelion flowers, yellow and fully open (about 470ml)
- 1 tablespoon raw honey
- Pinch of sea salt
- Filtered water, to fill a quart jar
Method
- Add dandelion flowers to a quart mason jar.
- Fill with filtered water, add honey and salt.
- Cover loosely with a cloth or coffee filter. Ferment on the counter 2 to 4 days.
Floral, slightly sweet, lightly fizzy, and full of naturally occurring bacteria from the flowers — turn the dandelions you’d have mowed over into something your family actually asks for.
